Keep It short
Short is sexy this season. Hollywood pop princess Rihanna made the short graduated bob trendy and even though Riri’s back to flaunting her luscious locks now, the look’s not out of style yet. “Girls still come in and ask me to give them the cut that Rihanna had sported sometime back,” says freelance hairstylist Chintan. “The sharp, gradually extended length is quite spunky.”
The perfect pony tail
Grabbing your hair together into a pony tail is perhaps the simplest summer style to keep. But make it chic with just a little detailing! “A few layers and also some fringes — be it heavy fringes that end just above your eyebrows or front fringes — can simply hot up a simple high pony tail,” says hair stylist Renee Malik.
Braids
Sport the sexy school girl look. A side plait reminiscent of high school can be worn with much oomph. “Just a few highlights or pretty accessories can spice it up,” says hair stylist Shikha Paren. “Loose side braids are a perfect pair for an evening do or a casual jamboree.”
Mess it up
Summer is not the season to sport a neat look, suggests Renee. A messy and scrunched up hair do looks great especially if you have curly hair. The out-of-bed look is a hot favourite. But make sure you don’t end up looking like a real mess.
The hot bun
A hair bun may not be an option for most, but those with long hair certainly swear by it. “Just tie your hair up with pretty chopsticks like the Chinese women,” says Renee.
Splash some colour
Go for a light colour like a honey shade and give the bright hues a miss.
