American cultural anthropologist, Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Here’s a chance to help two such committed citizens in helping those in need.

Natasha Chaudhary and Sukhmani Grover, core team members of Haiyya, need funds to take 'Leadership, Organising and Action: Leading Change', an online course from Harvard Kennedy School taught by Professor Marshall Ganz. Though they have secured admission, they are falling short of funds.

Haiyya is a Delhi-based non-profit working towards training civic bodies, NGO workers, students’ bodies to help grassroot level social enterprises function more effectively. The beneficiaries of Haiyya receive leadership skills and are given strategic support. Aprajita Pandey, founder of Haiyya, who is running this fundraiser for her colleagues says, “I felt it is very necessary to give them that certification because the course gives you the grounding knowledge and also gives you more credibility.” She has also done this course.

When Haiyya was founded in 2013, its concept was very new but Natasha and Sukhmani were determined to make it work. “They have been involved with us from the beginning,” Aprajita shares. Natasha and Sukhmani, Management and Sociology graduates respectively, have managed to procure 35% scholarship from Harvard but are still running short of a little over Rs 3 lakh. They are trying to raise the balance amount on the crowdfunding site Ketto
