My worst mistake when dating is probably saying I love you when I didn't mean it. I felt really pressured into saying it, and so I just gave in without realising what it actually meant. Also, another mistake I made was I dated when I didn't even like the person. I just did it because I was bored.

Taking my girlfriend for granted. Even though she loved me, I cheated on her with multiple girls, until she found out, which was probably the most difficult time for me. After that, I lost her as well as all the girls I was cheating on her with. The worst part was, after we broke up, she became a model and is now really successful.

I gave a lot more to the relationship than I received. Also, I kept really high expectations, which eventually lead to disappointments for me. The people who you never expected to hurt you sometimes end up hurting you the most, which is really sad.

I think the worst thing I've done while dating is lying. My current girlfriend has been with me for approximately five years, during which I have dated her best friend and broke up with her to date a hot foreign exchange student. I kept texting other girls even while we were going strong, but I stopped all that once we started doing long distance, because I missed her so much.

One of the worst mistakes I made while dating was stretching our relationship beyond its breaking point. I always wanted to break up (and I still do), but I'm too scared to hurt him because he's always been so nice to me throughout. I have never had the courage to say anything, and I'm afraid one day he'll realise I wasn't into him, at least for the last five months.

I think my worst mistake while dating was to say I love you. It was an infatuation and I thought she meant a lot, but only later, after I actually fell in love, did I realise I didn't mean it at all, and I used the words too casually.
-Yug Adalja, 18, Mumbai

The worst mistake I made while dating was probably giving my boyfriend all my attention. I completely forgot about all my friends and other priorities, and simply concentrated on him. The relationship became my world, which was even harder for me after it was over.
-Nishi Panicker, 18, Mumbai

One of my worst mistakes while dating was that I blindly trusted my boyfriend. I believed his every word even though I had a feeling he was lying. Later, I found out that he lied to me so much about so many things. I learned not to trust someone completely till I actually know enough about them.
-Maya Jindal, 18, Pune

One of the worst mistakes I made while dating was being really insecure. Once I thought a girl was flirting with my boyfriend and I slapped him without even trying to hear his side of the story. This led to huge fights and an eventual break-up as well.
-Simran Mehta, 18, Mumbai

I trust blindly. The more you trust someone the more they actually hurt you in the end, when you realise you shouldn't have trusted them in the first place.
