Flea markets have become another way to celebrate creativity. And one of the most popular among them is back this month. With almost 200 pop-up shops from funky home décor to trendy apparel and fashion accessories, The Lil Flea is the place to be for the shopaholic in you.

“We want to see The Lil Flea community ‘Enjoy The Lil’ Things’. You will find ‘The Lil Gift Exchange’ where anyone can leave a gift and take a gift taking forward the though from the last flea where people could leave or take a book from The Lil Book Exchange. You can also do silly things like make your own candy floss or engage with large sized installations of some of your favourite games like hopscotch and snakes and ladders. The Lil Flea Team will also be giving tiny seed envelopes to every person. Just plant them in soil and become a proud parent of your very own piece of green!” says Alankar Jain, co-founder of the event. It is also being seen not just as a vanilla market but as three festivals rolled in one with shopping, food and music all witnessing some amazing creativity.

Like any other flea market while there will be products for every shopping lover, The Lil Flea will also have a curated pop-up cafe with dozens of booths offering experimental and street cuisine. A pop-up Cafe that sees everything from home bakers, experimental chefs, Christmas treats to the cities favourites street foods and some amazing live music will help you enjoy the perfect weekend right in the heart of the city.

Among the nearly half a dozen of upcoming musicians that will perform over the weekend will be Anand Bhagat’s Boombay Djembe Folas. Other artistes include Clayton Hogermeer and Krishna Marathe. The headliner acts to watch out for include MadBoy Mink and Kabir Cafe. Another crowd favourite is the Drum Circle, where a master percussionist will take 30-40 willing visitors at a time on a one-hour guided tour of African rythms as the participants get a djembe each to play along, learn and create music at the same time.

When and Where: 20th & 21st of December from 11am to 11pm at Bandra Reclamation Ground
