Tale of two parties

Well D-day is still some time away — on February 25 — but the celebrations for Kokilaben Ambani’s 80th birthday kicked off with a house party thrown by Anil and Tina Ambani at Sea Wind in Cuffe Parade. In his first visit to his erstwhile residence in a long time, Mukesh arrived with Nita and both their sons to complete the family picture — its the only occasion that both brothers still celebrate together. Among the other guests spotted at the do included Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej, Praful Patel, Haseena Jethmalani and of course the entire Bachchan clan. The real deal however is expected to be the celebrations that will unfold next week at Udaipur which will be hosted by elder bahu Nita. While we’d expected that one to be the single consolidated function, but since Anil and Tina decided to host a separate party does make us wonder why. While for some reason they had not been able it make it for Nita’s grand 50th birthday celebration in Jodhpur, we’re expecting them to join sisters Dipti and Nina and the rest for the grand two-day function in majestic Udaipur.
