Surendra Dubey gets 'Kaka Hathrasi' award

Noted Hindi satirist and poet Surendra Dubey was conferred with the "Kaka Hathrasi's Hasya Ratna Award 2008" for his outstanding contribution in the literary field.
 
The award carrying a cash prize of Rs1 lakh, a citation, and shawl was given away to Dubey by Dr Laxmi Narayan Garg, noted writer and managing trustee of the award committee, at a function in Goverdhan on the weekend.
  
Dubey has five books of "hasya-vyang" to his credit besides appearing in hundreds of stage and TV shows, including Laughter Challenge, in the recent past.
