Amaal Mallik

Handsome is a chow chow, and this breed inherently is quite lazy, moody and will do things only when they want to. He is a very pampered boy, sleeps for at least 12 hours a day, but he exercises three times a day, for half-an-hour each. So, I think for a two-year-old pup, he is quite fit.

A gadget I would like for my dog: Something that can make me Skype with him when I’m busy and away for my gigs, and I can just give him treats by the click of a button. There already is such a device available and I would love to get one!

Sunny Leone

Absolutely not! If you need a tracker to see how active your dog is... it probably means you are a lazy owner. Your healthy dog should be walked multiple times a day and should have the ability to go outside multiple times a day to go to the bathroom. Don’t be a lazy dog owner. Take your dog out for a walk.

A gadget I would like for my dog: I’d like to see a device that my large dog Chopper could use as a booty- scratcher. He loves it to no end when someone pets his back and booty. It’s so funny. So, if in the middle of the day, he wants a quick scratch-down, he can get one.

Honestly, no. I wouldn’t buy the Fitbark for my Labrador Retriever, Sir Theodore Goldenridge aka Theo. I think humans are lazier, and need motivation and fitness gadgets to keep themselves fit. I’m quite pragmatic when it comes to pet care. Let the dogs be. One should rather spend quality time with one’s dog and take him/her for a 30 to 45 minute walk daily is what is needed. I don’t need a special gadget to keep a track of my pet’s fitness.
A gadget I would like for my dog: Well, if it existed, I would definitely buy a gadget that could read my dog’s mind like a dog mind reader. It would be great to know what my dog is thinking and listen to my dog.

Prachi Desai

No, I wouldn’t buy it. As long as their diets are healthy and they are able to run outside till they are tired, I don’t think it is necessary. This is just another example of pointless data generation and management.
A gadget I would like for my dog: A gadget which reads and translates their thoughts/barks into words. Would be awesome to understand what they think and this would really help prevent so much cruelty against them.

It’s kind of cute that a gadget like Fitbark has arrived. However, I don’t think I’d get it my for dogs, Don and Knight because they are pretty active — they go for their morning walks, they play around. In fact, one of them is more active than the other. I used to wear Fitbit earlier. As actors, we need to keep track of so many things especially fitness. I wouldn’t like to add that extra pressure on them. I don’t know if my wife would be interested in buying Fitbark for them, I wouldn’t. I’d let them be as they are.

A gadget I would like for my dog: I heard that abroad there’s a gadget being developed, where the dog owner can interpret the dog’s thoughts. I would definitely like to buy this gadget for my dogs. I can recognise the different kind of barks that my dogs give to signal that they want to go for a walk, if they’re hungry, etc. But many times, dogs keep looking at you and you begin to wonder what they’re thinking...

I would buy Fitbark for my dog Justin, only if it’s necessary and approved by a vet, otherwise I wouldn’t buy it. I’ve had dogs all my life and they all have been quite active. I don’t find the need to track/monitor them. But if my dog is unwell and requires it, then only I’d buy it, there’s no need for this extra fussing otherwise.

A gadget I would like for my dog: I wish there was a gadget through which I could communicate with my dog, not only orally but also mentally. This would help me understand if my dog is sick or in pain. We come to know if a dog is in pain or sick through external signs, which occur when the problem has escalated. Also, dogs have a high threshold for pain, so you wouldn’t know if there’s a problem unless there are visible signs.

Rithvik Dhanjani

Fitbark as a gadget sounds really interesting to be honest, because I think there’s one thing whenever I take Murphy down for a walk, I’ve to constantly pay attention to where he is, where’s he running, whether has he had his walk enough, has he burned his calories enough, according to his body mass ratio, is it enough for him to have half an hour of walk. I think Fitbark would be a very interesting gadget, I think I’m definitely going to buy this one. I completely believe in having a healthy lifestyle, why not for him as well?

A gadget I would like for my dog: That would be a clone of his own, an interactive clone maybe... He’s the only dog we have at home, something he can constantly play with, for example if he presses a button that would start a camera and we get a notification on our phones that he wants to interact and we get to see him. It’s a random and a vague idea but it would be cool to have an interactive dog clone!

I have adopted a big street dog and call him Jimmy. It’s been my rule since childhood, not to buy dogs but rather adopt them. Jimmy is 15 now, but if he was young like two to three years old, I would have definitely bought Fitbark for him. It’s important to keep a track of your pet’s fitness especially when you have big dogs, especially of a foreign breed and in a small apartment. I have seen many people who have overweight labradors. We need to monitor their fitness.

A gadget I would like for my dog: I don’t like keeping animals on a leash. I don’t need to take Jimmy out for a walk. I just leave my door open and he goes by himself for a walk to the beach nearby. I would like to buy a gadget like a GPS tracker for Jimmy, by which I can track his movements on my phone.
