STYLE HUNTER: Say hello to front pleat pants

Front pleat pants make their presence felt this Pre-Fall season like never before. Altuzarra sent out a high waist pair in black teamed with a white top and a trench coat and Riccardo Tisci at Burberry presented a pair of pleated red trousers clubbed with a knotted top. These classics also made their presence felt in the presentations at Chloe, Adam Lippes and Phillip Lim. 

Designer Aniket Satam hails these trousers as one of the quintessential modern classic in every working woman’s wardrobe. “Such variations in trousers add to a room of comfort to the wearer. They are part formal and can be borderline dressy and can go from boardroom to the bar. Dress it up with a silk camisole or wear it with a sharp suit. These pants are never a let down. A chunky pair of boots work perfectly with a detailed hemline. Avoid anything delicate and dressy and let the silhouette do the talking. Having said that, this silhouette may not last in the coming seasons,” says Aniket.
