Athleticism has been the major story over the last five years and if Pre-Fall collections are any indications, sportified offerings are here to stay. Gucci’s collaboration with Major League Baseball (MLB) comes to mind instantly. Louis Vuitton’s menswear Pre-Fall sees some athleisure-inspired sweatshirts with label’s inverted LV logo and extremely covetable sneaker boots.

When quirky maximalism which draws from past decades, cinematic eras and music icons, besides pop imagery meets NY Yankees baseball caps, you know the result is going to be no less than magical. The collaboration between Gucci and the Major League Baseball (MLB) made for some stunningly realised campaign images making almost every ensemble absolutely drool-worthy. Alessandro Michele proves yet again that he’s a true mixologist — from mixing classic tartan and camel with something of-the-moment street to clashing sportified masculinity with dandified preppiness.

The Louis Vuitton menswear and travels have an incredible history and this season, Artistic Director Kim Jones referenced a truly global traveller. Mr Jones was inspired by the dazzling lights of Hong Kong and New York and the azure skies of the Himalayas and the Wild West while he sat to put together his mood-board. No wonder the ensembles and accessories radiate an outdoorsy vibe — from the Japanese seersucker silk shirts to woven and knitted jacquards. We’re digging label’s iconic monogram in inverted format.
