Style hunter: Florals for resort

Flowers never really go out of style. Do they really now? Fashion cynics may cringe or yawn but nothing sums up festive resort than a generous smattering of flowers on lehengas, cholis and dupattas.

At the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week, designers across the board reinterpreted florals in their own handwriting.

SVA sent out a fusion ensemble with cascading Baroque foliage, Eka's tribute to the iconic Amrita Sher-gil saw her recontextualising abstract painterly florals, Anushree Reddy who's known for her signature florals sweetened her offerings in classic English style. Rahul Mishra for his first premium high street offering combined stripes with his signature lotuses like a lethal cocktail.
