Milan Fashion Week
Metallic touch

Not a conventional spring colour choice, Prada's show had models take to the ramp with gilded pouts. The liquid gold effect created using 24 karat powder added drama, while the rest of the face was left bare. Etro played with a different metal — copper hued eyeshadow was seen on their models while Alberta Ferretti's models flaunted a golden tan.

All lashed up
Adding a girly twist to regular eyelashes was Marni with their prominent spidery curled lashes. Others who played up the lashes with the right tools include Francesco Scognamiglio and Au Jour Le Jour.

Faux bobs
Looks like the fascination with the bob is going to continue into next year with faux bobs taking centerstage and allowing one to switch between long and short locks. Fendi had their models showcase chic dos with locks gently rolled at the ends and pinned up.

New York Fashion Week
Nailing it

Erin Fetherston featured flower petals painted on a dull pink base with added pearls for texture. Models at Libertine sported checkered nails as well as colour blocked patterns and embellished tips that went with the outfits. Others like Jason Wu stuck to the nude look.

Of braids and buns
Proenza Schoulder channelled the simple one braid look, while Marchesa went for a knotted bun. Rag & Bone too went for a messy just-stepped-out knot and Zac posen went with a low bun.

Barely there make-up
A few designers went soft on the make-up with Alexander Wang's models sporting the hydrated skin look. Thakoon too let the model's natural skin tone shine through. Rag & Bone gave the models a sun-kissed freckled base.

London Fashion Week
Gunning for blue

Blue seemed to be the dominant colour choice for the eyes. Mary Katrantzou had models with electric blue mascara dipped lashes, while Jonathan Saunders used the hue in the form of liner. Roksanda too had models sporting bright blue across their lids.

Va-va volume
Teased locks were seen in a number of shows such as Roksanda and Topshop Unique. Topshop recreated big, bold curls, while Daks went for a half up-down look with loose waves. Holly Fulton had their models show off a bedhead style.

Shimmer on
Glitter was seen across the runway with Ashish's models flaunting sequins on their eyelids and all over their heads. While Topshop chose a glam eye look with iridescent shadow and kohl enhancing the model's faces.

Paris Fashion Week
Strong and edgy locks

Balmain had their models with slicked back mane and high ponytails, channeling a strong fearless look. Celine also went with the slicked back hair do.

Drama on the eyes
Giambattista Valli's show saw models sporting disco hues on their eyes — just between their brows and lids. While the skin remained clean, touches of pink, turquoise and metallic stood out on their faces. Manish Arora went for a rainbow smoky eye throwing out all the rule books on getting the red carpet look right.

Seeing Red
Nina Ricci had models with bare skin and glossy, luscious red lips. Acne Studios too nailed the bright classic hue showing that bold lips are always in style.
