Shop for celeb hand-me-downs, aid animal charities!

Looking to fill your wardrobe with outfits from the closets of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor, two of Bollywood’s sharpest dressers? And in doing so, aiding an annual charity shopping event that benefits animal welfare NGOs?

Well you can, thanks to the event they’re putting their weight — and their outfits — behind. It’s called Shop with Heart.

Together with Soha Ali Khan they have donated some fabulous pieces from their personal collection, the kind of high-low mix every fashionista aspires to own —  DVF, Lanvin, D&G, Burberry, Etro, Ralph Lauren, Reiss, Masaba, Neeta Lulla, Sabyasachi, Zara, Forever 21 and more. There are some beautiful dresses, gowns, jackets, formal shirts and blouses along with denim from Paige, Joseph, J Brand etc.

The first sale in 2013 had stars like Vidya Balan and Sonam along with Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz, lead pair of Phata Poster Nikkla Hero making their wardrobes lighter. For the 2014 edition, the event teamed up with Akshay Kumar and his film Entertainment. The collections doubled that year, say sources in the know.

The pre-worn merchandise is selected and curated by the SWH team to make sure only gently-worn wearable pieces are sold at a huge discount of 50-80 per cent.

This year, the sale will be held at the Le Sutra gallery in Khar.
