It won’t be a Fall Winter season minus these closet essentials — quilted jackets, anoraks and duffer coats. And the recently concluded London Fashion Week had them in huge numbers with designers reinterpreting them according to their style and heritage.

Fall Winter 2018 runways saw designers pushing the quilting techniques and presenting them in an au courant holographic format. MM6 Maison Margiela sent out many head-to-toe metallic look with diamond quilting.

Men’s vests were shrunken and wrapped snugly around the torso and duffer coats were beautifully quilted. Designer Huishan Zhang colour blocked a quilted pink jumper with a blue quilted skirt (with contrasting top stitching) and designer Peter Pilotto presented a multi-toned quilted coat with foliage prints.
