Say oriental



This June, celebrate the flavours of South-east Asia. Foodhall is hosting The Oriental Food Festival which will focus on flavours of three most popular cuisines Chinese, Japanese and Thai. As part of the fest, Foodhall has set up a stir-fry station where different kinds of noodles will be prepared fresh using different sauces and ingredients. Those who want a quick snack, the live kitchen will be having skewers of tofu and chicken with peanut sauce on display. The patisserie will have the green tea brûlée.

You can also check out range of readymade oriental food products. There will also be Chinese stir fry kit of broccoli, pokchoy, scallions, babycorn, button mushrooms and mixed peppers.

At the fresh produce section, you can check out an assortment of Thai Chinese and Japanese exotic fruits and vegetables like galangal, bird eye chilli, kaffir lime, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, pok choy, radicchio, Daikon (japanese radish), asparagus, japanese cucumbers, thai eggplants, enoki, shimeji, shitake and oyster.

All you dimsum lovers try out the dimsum and gyozas samples and the vegans can go for mock meats and tofu. And if you want to try making yur own dishes at home you can pick the necessary kits, dimsum baskets, sushi platters and bamboo sushi mats.

Shiro is hosting a cocktail festival which will introduce 17 new cocktails for a limited period. For those who love fruity flavours, try out Bella Peach, Burnt Orange Martinis and Resonant Passion those who enjoy a little spice in their drinks, check out Pepper and Basil Caipirinha and Bewitched. Apart from these, you can also sip on the Forbidden Nectar, Love Stuck Tequila, Serpentine Stir and Earl Grey Martini among other reviving new cocktails.

Come let us celebrate one of China’s most significant and colourful festivals — the Dragon Boat Festival. Drive down to Memories of China as master chef William Tong has churned out an authentic Chinese a la carte menu that takes you through the culinary journey of this festival. The menu includes authentic delicacies like Conjee Crispy Lotus Stem, Steamed Fish Tauso, Pork Ribs Beijing Style, Steamed Mango Dumpling and Braised Eggplant with Szechuan Chilli Sauce in clay pot among others.
