Bethenny Frankel recently did the unthinkable. She raided her 4-year-old daughter, Bryn's closet.

Her Twitter and Instagram scape went ballistic when she posted a pic of her wearing her daughter's Hello Kitty pajamas. "This is my daughter's nightgown and PJ shorts. Think we're ready to start sharing clothes yet?" she captioned the snapshot of herself.

The photo evoked a fusillade of reactions like: "Looked gross anyway....", "She looks like a 75 year old anorexic.. She put herself out there so it's her fault" and "Don't look now Bethenny, but you're starting to display clear signs of narcissistic personality disorder."

We ask some of the yummy mummies if they have ever borrowed clothes from their daughter's closets.

My daughter is the slimmest kid ever. She is super slim and lean and I don't think I'll fit into her clothes. My son's a hatta katta Punju boy and I easily fit into his t-shirts. My daughter borrows my long tops which are like dresses for her and she wears my heels. Having said that, I don't think it's normal for parents to borrow clothes from their kids' closet.

I think it's a little weird. It's okay for kids to borrow clothes from their parents' closet but not the other way round. My daughter Shanaya's pyjamas may come to me because they are extra loose but not anything else. I do wear her chappals and sandals because our shoe size is same. She walks into my closet all the time and it's like a shopping store for her. Also, her style is very young and doesn't suit me at all.

I don't have a daughter but if I did I wouldn't wear her clothes. Daughters digging into their mom's closet is fun but not the other way round. I have never tried fitting into my son's clothes.

It's great to try clothes from your kid's closet. I hope to be superfit to do that. Except my daughter is five. So right now it's limited to hair clips and ponytail bands.

I borrow her clothes all the time. I am stealing all the cute crop tops which are in vogue right now for my holiday. I also love digging into her jewellery chest. I don't think there are any rules as long as you can carry it off and not look like a teenager but yourself. It's important to incorporate the look into your look.

My daughter just turned seven so except for sharing scrunchies, I can't share anything else. She wears my t-shirts as sleepwear. I think it depends on the style of the clothes - probably kurtas, t-shirts and shoes. However, every age has its own style. And trying to squeeze yourself into your kids' clothes may not work into your favour, even if you do fit into it.

I have tried my daughter's clothes but just for fun and not to wear it out. I think one should dress age-appropriately. My 19 year old daughter borrows my clothes all the time but I can't borrow hers. She's thin and wears loose flowy tops which fit me. However, I look at the print and if they are too candy or young then I avoid or go for the sober ones. Once in a while I have stolen her tops.
