Milan Fashion Week SS 15 emitted a luxe bohemian vibe - from Prada's big collar double breasted jackets to Alberta Ferretti's hippie florals.
Denim is shaping up to be a big Spring Summer 15 trend - sometimes in the form of a pair of jodhpurs and other times in the shape of tracksuit trousers paired with matching shirt and jacket.
Shredded leather separates at Fendi, floral appliques (seen almost everywhere) at Alberta Ferretti and double-breasted coats with Seventies collar and top stitching - most designers looked at late 60s and early 70s for inspiration.
Prada
Thought: Marrying old with the new
Highlights: The lilac sand dunes added a glow to an army of seventies style leather jackets, sweaters and skirts with cleverly left rough edges. Supermodel Gemma Ward opened the show after a long sabbatical. Top stitching on coats, platform clogs and two-toned over-sized sunglasses were the highlights.
Fendi
Inspiration: Fendi's Roman headquarters, Palazzo della Civilta Italiana
Highlights: Orchid was the leitmotif which was embroidered into dresses, laser cut into leather skirts and reimagined into fur bomber jackets. Strappy heels, peek-a-boo bags and Karlito add to the line's allure.
Alberta Ferretti
Vibe: Bohemian nymph
Highlights: Crochet florals, lattice work with floral appliques interwoven and fringes were seen on floaty chiffon dresses. Tan colour fringed ankle-length waistcoat added more character to the white embroidered chiffon dresses. Miss Ferretti always does pretty and does it so damn well!
Moschino
Inspiration: Barbie
Highlights: Crop tops, minis, jumpers in candy tones and accessorised with cutesy heart-shaped handbags and luggage case tugging at the hearts of all Barbie fans. Polka dotted itsy bitsy bikinis as patchworks on tops and skirts were super cute and so were gigantic bows and frothy trains. There's no stopping Jeremy Scott and his candy wrapper chic.
