Milan's homme collections were strong on androgyny - be it Gucci showcasing feminine knotted tops for men or Edmund Ooi showcasing men in skirts. Schoolboy checks were the leitmotif everywhere - from Zegna to Iceberg. Jil Sander reinterpreted the safari jacket which is becoming the new winter staple along with skinny neck scarves showcased at Bottega Veneta and Prada.

Highlights: The line saw a strong usage of corduroy and stripes. Shearling jackets, military style trench coats, Double breasted long coats and trousers with contrasting vibrant pockets were accessorised with two-toned Fendi apple bags. The last season's hit - the Fendi monster bag motif was replicated into one of the jackets.

Highlights: Feminine knotted blouses were paired with wide-legged, belted trousers and accessorised with open-toe sandals and the brand's horse-bit loafers. Then came a Ferrari engine red toggle coat and a cropped knit worn over a lacey top, a sheer lacy crochet top was paired with a pair of rust brown trousers, a long-military style coat with a hoodie, a printed pantsuit combo.

Highlights: Elasticized-waist trousers, grade in a rust knit were paired with a purple blouson in a washed corduroy, a yellow jacket was clashed with a green turtleneck and a rust and grey sweater was paired with a pink trouser. The knotted handbags in a vibrant palette of emerald green and rust brown were the highlights and so were the two-toned leather shoes.

The offering was a beautiful marriage of cashmere plaid in tones of red and blue with the brand's iconic knits. Knitted and woven, the collection had a lot of coats and jackets. Floral embroidery added to the artisanal flourish. Over-sized fringed shawls wrapped around suits evoked an air of luxe bohemian.

There were portraits on clothings - be it Renaissance renditions of the Nativity or cartoons of the classic nuclear mum, dad, and two kids. A three-piece suit in black brocade was the highlight and so were distressed denim, an embroidered sweatshirt, a graphic tee. The line saw a lot of tweeds, jersey pants, pajamas, lounge suits, rubber Wellington boots, and shoes.
