SoBo’s popular bakery and restaurant now has a kiosk at the Indiabulls Finance Center in Elphinstone.

The menu is specifically tailored to meet the requirements of those wanting to pick  something quickly while on the move, and also has community tables where you can share a meal with colleagues or friends. Another feature that distinguishes this one from any of the other outlets is that they will be delivering to offices in the building.

We dropped by to sample what’s on offer. We tried an Asian Sandwich (Rs175) that had lettuce, mayo, chicken pieces and spices spread on freshly baked bread,  a good snack option. We also ordered a Chicken Cobb Salad (Rs225) and the Smoked Chicken Caramalised Onions and cheese  (Rs175), which was strictly okay.

For those looking for a warm cup of hot chocolate to beat the winter chills, LPQ dishes out an absolutely divine concoction that is a must-try priced at Rs175, and is worth every penny spent. We also recommend the Chocolate Croissant (Rs110), a chocolate filling encases this crispy croissant, and melts in your mouth with every bite. The Spicy Hummus with red pepper (Rs150) is avoidable.

The Danish Custard (Rs100) could do with more custard in the centre, as when you are done with that, all you have is a flaky crust to chew on. The Banana Caramel muffin (Rs90) was good, but had no trace of the promised caramel. The Chocochip cookie (Rs20) is a great option for those looking for a quick sugar rush and gives you your money’s worth.

Overall, LPQ’s latest kiosk has a good variety of salads, hot and cold dishes, croissants, sandwiches and beverages. Worth checking out once.
