Loaded with protein, eggs are the perfect start to the day, whether it's on your plate or when you're whipping it up to give your outer self a little spark.
The yolk's on you
The proteins in eggs help strengthen your hair. For a gloss effect with an excellent shine, an egg conditioning is one of the best options.
Whisk egg yolks in a bowl and mix in yoghurt. Dilute this mixture and apply it generously to clean and damp hair. Leave this concoction on your hair for a while before rinsing off with warm or cold water.
For oily hair, use egg whites alone.
This conditioner will leave your hair smooth and silky.
To help your hair smell a little more pleasant, add some scented oil or baby oil to the mixture.
To tighten the bags under your eyes dab a thin layer of egg yolk directly under the eyes. Leave it on for 15 minutes before gently rinsing it off.
Using eggs for face packs is a great way to combat various skin problems. While the yolks are the best part for dry skin, the egg whites help oily skin.
Beat egg whites and oatmeal together. Apply this to your face for 15 minutes before washing it off to feel refreshed with the oatmeal helping cool your skin and the egg whites providing a tightening effect.
Honey is known to lock in moisture. Whisking eggs with some honey in it makes an ideal face mask for dry skin.
You can replace the honey in the mask with olive oil which also shares moisturising properties.
