1. A home is a reflection of the people living in it. I have accessorised my home with the things that I wish to see everyday.

2. Gifts from fans, pictures of our children and curios that bring back memories of our holidays abroad adorn my home. If small children are around, it is better to deck up the house with as little artefacts as possible.

3. The furniture we have is heavy on design. To play it down, I have used silk fabrics in neutral shades as upholstery.

5. Bali is a good place to shop for furniture. I have picked up table mats, glass stands and silk throws from there as well. Nepal is good if you are looking for frames that could give your mirrors a make over.

7. Sandalwood-scented incense sticks keep a home fragrant. Scented candles can be saved up for special occasions. A floral arrangement around the candles makes for an ideal decoration.

9. For all those who like having coffee in their balcony, placing tall plants is a good idea. Not only will the potted plants look nice but they also ensure privacy.
