The fourth edition of a relatively young Indian music festival, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, is just around corner. The festival that caters to the music audience for alternative and indie music, locally and globally sourced, attempts to mark India's musical landscape.

With live music performances from a motley crew of over 200 bands, traversing multiple genres, this year's festival sets stage for a fascinating musical experience. Organised across four cities—Pune, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata—this travelling festival will be held over the next three months. A flagship event of Only Much Louder (OML), a firm that works in the area of music and alternative lifestyle cultures, the Bacardi  NH7 Weekender was born out of the NH7 online music portal that features Indian and global indie music artists, including the NH7 radio.

Vijay Nair, founder CEO of OML, explains, “We started Bacardi NH7 Weekender for music lovers across the country to be able experience what a true music festival is like. There's a lot of really great bands this year from our headliners like Chase & Status DJ Set, and Karsh Kale Collective + NH7 All Stars. When we programme bands, it's a combination of acts that people love, as well as we bands for them to discover - acts that they might never have seen or heard before but would love.”

He further adds, “There's a lot more art this year as well, a bazaar with fun, quirky products, and of course some great food.”

The much-awaited music festival will kick off in Pune from October 18 to 20, where popular Indian bands such as Indian Ocean, Pentagram, Vir Das' Alien Chutney, Sky Rabbit, along with other music artists will be performing.

And as an added treat for dog lovers, the Pune event is open to pet doggies as well. For details, refer to their info docket.

This will be followed by the Bangalore festival on November 23 and 24 that will feature famous Indian artists like Kailasa, Lucky Ali, Raghu Dixit project apart from usual suspects that tread the contemporary music scene in the country.

The party will then move to Delhi NCR on November 30 and December 1, and finally conclude at  Kolkata on December 14 and 15. With only 9000 spots, ticket are fast clearing; to book your spot, visit the NH7 website.
