The grand success of Delhi Belly followed by the promotion of Yash Raj Films' Mere Brother Ki Dulhan hasn't deterred actor Imran Khan in his pursuit of filing a PIL against the raising of the drinking age limit to 25 in Maharashtra.

There was some uncertainty on his eligibility for taking up such proceedings as he is a US citizen but his lawyers seem to have found a way in his favour, according to the actor who was born in America.

"I am waiting to get the final paperwork from my lawyers. There was doubt that I, being a US citizen, won't be able to do it. Now I think I will be able to do it. I am waiting till I get an exact confirmation on that," Imran said.

The 28-year-old actor avoided any talk on the matter during the promotion of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, lest the intensity of the issue gets diluted.

"I don't want to mix it with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan because then it dilutes the thing. If I do so, the issue gets lost and becomes a gimmick," he said.

Releasing Sep 9, the directorial debut of Ali Abbas Zafar, Mere Brother ki Dulhan is a romantic comedy also featuring actress Katrina Kaif and singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar in lead roles.

The Maharashtra government increased the legal age for alcohol consumption to 25 years from 21 in June.
