HRVY on a high

HRVY is hailed as the new Justin Timberlake of the UK. The Brit singer and digital sensation performed in Mumbai recently, about which he was admittedly nervous. But looking at the incredible response, the Personal crooner now hopes to perform in India again this year and would love to have the same opening acts — Shekhar Kapur and Suchitra Krishnamoorty’s daughter Kaveri and A-Team playing.

HRVY, whose real name is Harvey Leigh Cantwell, also has a single that he may drop in a few weeks. “It’s all ready but I can’t talk about it yet. There will also be a video and I plan to release more singles this year,” he says. Though he released two EPs, Holiday and Talk To Ya last year, the Timberlake, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith fan hopes to to release a full-length album soon. “I need to have enough material for that but a record is definitely the plan,” he says.

Whether the dance number La La La La (Means I Love You) or a softer song Phobia, HRVY believes in keeping his sound eclectic. “I want everyone to enjoy my music. But I like Personal a lot because it’s a fun song and it makes people smile the most,” states the social media maven who digs YouTubers Alex Aiono and William Singe’s music.
