During monsoons, along with protecting yourself from getting wet, its necessary to protect your phone or tablet too. There are two methods of doing this.

Method 1 :

All you need is a plastic see-through shopping bag or a zip-lock pouch.

If you select a plastic bag, you can cut the bag in the shape required and make use of rubber bands just for it to be in place. A zip-lock pouch won't require rubber bands.

Just in case you plan to use this method, make sure you fill in the plastic bag or zip pouch with some silica gel packets. Silica gel absorbs all the moisture even if it gets in and helps in keeping your phone dry and clean.

Method 2 :

You can buy some waterproof accessory or cover. Several such covers are available at electronic or mobile shops. However this is not as safe as using zip pouches and silica gel packets. In spite of these phone covers being there moisture seeps in.

Just in case your mobile gets wet. Here are some steps to save it from getting completely damaged.

Steps :

1] Switch off your phone.

2] Pull out the battery.

3] Take a bowl of rice or a bowl filled with silica gel packets and submerge the phone and its components into it for at least 24 hours. [ If you don't find rice or silica, leave it under direct sunlight ].

If everything fails the only option left is to take your cell to a cell phone repairer.
