Are you looking to try Italian cuisine at a fraction of the cost you would pay for an a la carte meal? Then Mangiamo’s  group lunch menu may be an option for you. You can choose from three pre-fix menu’s created by head chef Rahul Bhagwat starting from Rs 600, plus taxes. For soups, you can pick from Ministronie, a classic Italian tomato flavoured vegetables soup with pasta that was delicious or try Zuppa the Porcini soup (made with Porcini and fresh mushrooms with truffle oil). Earthy and smooth, this one is a good choice, if you want to skip the veggies. For starters, you can go for the Potato Rosso (baked potatoes tossed in a spicy red picante sauce), a must-try. Also, on offer is a choice of wood-fired thin crust pizzas We ordered the Pizza Toscana, which had basil, pesto and mozzarella topped with fresh mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes.

It tasted good but needed more pesto. For the main course, we went with the Rigatoni mama rossa (pasta tossed with a creamy tomato sauce, asparagus, kalamata olives and basil pesto), nice, but a bit too rich for us. The Pene alla Arrabiata was good too. The highlight of the meal for us was the dessert — Rustico Crostata Di Dela (a cinnamon scented apple and raisin tart served with caramel sauce and ice cream) a sweet delectable combination that had us drooling. For those who want to enjoy a glass of red wine or beer with their meal, you can opt for the menu priced at Rs 900, plus taxes.
