The Spring-Summer 2013 collections have made their way to runways and boutiques and it’s only a matter of time before they make way into your wardrobes. “Oranges, pinks, lime greens, yellows… what could be better way than sporting these colours that not only lift your mood but makes you truly fashionable,” wonders model and actor Sakshi Agarwal. The lass, who has bagged a film in Kannada and Tamil, picks out a vibrant creation by one of her favourite designers’ latest collection and joins After Hrs  for the Look Of The Week column. And if you are anything like her, by which we mean bold and full of life, wear your attitude on your sleeve and prepare for 2013 and let some seriously eye-catching colours do all the talking for you…

Tresspass
When expert stylist Romi is around, the best look is what is assured. And when you have a dress that sizzles, you can’t quite ignore the hair style.  To give Sakshi a dreamy look, Romi used curlers on Sakshi’s washed and blow dried hair. This was done to add more volume and bounce to her long tresses. Hair taken care of, we turned our focus on make-up.

Colour
Sakshi is very experimental when it comes to make-up. We make the most of this attitude and use a contrasting and yet another happy colour, Turkish orange, for her eyes. But since the whole idea is to let the dress do the talking, stylist Romi tones down the orange by using white and brown at the corners. This also makes our model’s eyes look slightly bigger. Sakshi’s flawless skin comes as an added advantage Romi  chooses to keep it nearly-free of make-up. For the lips she is given a nude colour. For the nails she uses a yellow that goes really well with her dress. If you want to experiment more, mixing it with orange would be a good idea. You could also paint your nails to match your accessory colours, in this case black and white. Pink is your other option.

Dress me up
Dresses never go out of fashion and that’s exactly why Sakshi chooses to go with one such knee length yellow outfit from one of her her favourite designers, Stephany’s Spring Summer 2013 collection. The flow and fall that this silk, georgette and chiffon blended outfit offers does everything to highlight Sakshi’s carefree attitude. Be it for a brunch, pool side party or a casual outing with friends, with this dress you are sure to make heads turn.

L’ll add-Ons
The black and white accessories provide a dramatic edge to the outfit. A ring and a cuff for the wrist in black and white and a pretty white neck piece is what we picked from The Verandah boutique for the shoot. As for footwear, we suggest you play it safe with a pair of black heels. Peep toes will particularly look good. You can throw in a black or white clutch to complete the look. You could make the whole look geeky  by simply wearing a pair of yellow and black rimmed glasses.
