Looking out for Californian food with a Mexican Twist? Then head to California Pizza Kitchen and feast on their latest offering, Mexifornia. I started my meal with the Charqui Grilled Chicken and the Fire Roasted Enchiladas, a dish you must try if you can handle the heat! Vegetarians can call for the California Caprese Sandwich while non-vegetarians can munch on the Chicken Ceasar Sandwich (warm grilled chicken breast coated with caesar dressing, shredded lettuce and roma tomatoes).

Beans and Mexican food are just inseparable so they was no way I could avoid the Black Bean Quesadilla made of homemade black bean sauce, cheddar cheese, sliced onions and serrano, hearth baked in a pizza oven and served with chipotle sour cream and crispy tortilla sauce.

Among the pizzas, I tried the Baja Supreme, a smoky thin crust pizza topped with mozzarella cheese, black beans, roasted corn and sliced mushrooms and garnished with hand-torn cilantro and drizzled with creme fraiche. It’s a pizza you just can’t refuse. The Chicken Carnitas Pizza is a great option for people wanting an Indian twist. It’s a scrumptious delight made with slow-roasted marinated chicken breasts with homemade cilantro pesto, mozzarella cheese, gouda cheese and red onions, garnished with hand-torn cilantro and served with a side of seriously spicy orange chilli sauce. It will definitely set your taste buds on fire with its spice quotient.

The Spicy Baja Fettuccine (a spicy and creamy blend of homemade baja sauce, tossed with fire roasted green chillies, red onions, bell pepper, roasted corn, black beans and cilantro) didn’t live up to its expectations.

I’ll rate the Berry Mango Smoothie as the highlight of the evening. You could add a tropical twist to you evening with the Hawaiian Sunshine Mocktail. Must try are the long island iced tea and sangria. I ended my meal on a sweet note with the very indulgent Sticky Toffee Pudding. A toffee-flavoured British style ‘pudding’, garnished with pecan nuts and topped with rich and buttery caramel sauce, the Sticky Toffee Pudding is a sweet and comforting treat that will leave you asking for more! You can also opt for the popular Red Velvet Cake or the rich, moist Chocolate Banana Cake. However, post your indulgence, some of you might just want to take a quick, brisk walk to burn those extra calories you gained.
