For a global cafe, chocolatier and patisserie that started from a basement garage in 2007, Theos has created a huge fan base for itself in Noida. With two existing outlets in Noida, Theos recently launched its third outlet in DLF Mall of India.  Unlike the other two outlets, this one is a kiosk that has a beautiful open seating arrangement. Apart from offering a delectable range of savouries and desserts, what made us visit this outlet is the newly-introduced ‘Desserts with Coffee’ menu where one can balance the richness of Triple chocolate mousse with a strong doppio shot of espresso with a nice crema on top or have a classic slice of Red velvet paired with another classic cappuccino with a hint of cinnamon dust. Another new entrant on the menu is a wide variety of baked cheesecakes.

Sweets and savouries

Each section at the kiosk is divided by Chef Gaurav Wadhwa. The first section is for those who are on the go and are looking for gifting options. You can select fancy packed chocolates, macaroons and other mini desserts from here. The second section comprises savouries ranging from quiches to freshly baked breads and the third and fourth sections are stocked with cakes, mousses, cheesecakes and bakedcheese cakes. After trying a few savouries and desserts, here are picks.

We ordered for Chicken quiche (Rs 89), Veg Quiche (Rs79) and a hot cup of Caffe Latte to go with the savouries. The pastry crust was fresh, crisp and had chicken and vegetables respectively wrapped in cheese. Moving on to the desserts, we loved the slice of Red Velvet cake (Rs 299) that was gooey and had the right amount of cream cheese in it. For those of you who are always on a lookout for eggless desserts, this Red Velvet cake is a winner as Theos does not compromise on the flavour while giving you an eggless option for your favourite dessert. Another surprise for us was the Caramel baked cheesecake (Rs 250). This new entrant on the menu was fluffy and had a trace of caramel IN it, which was topped with cream. The last dessert we tried was the gorgeously presented Hazelnut opera (Rs 275), which had a hard chocolate crust on top, cream filling and gooey texture and was decorated with a raspberry on top. One thing common to all the desserts was the fact that they were not extremely sweet and one could enjoy different flavours, which have been used to create some delightful sweet treats.
