What is your beauty regime?
I wash my face with Dr Hauschka’s Cleansing Cream and moisturize with Bobbi’s Hydrating Gel Cream. I always follow it up with a sunscreen application. Growing up in Florida, my mom made it a point to apply sunscreen on us, so I picked up that essential routine early on. I moisturize my body with Bliss’ Lemon+Sage Body Butter. For make-up, I use Bobbi’s Creamy Concealer, Bronzing Powder, Pot Rouge Blush, Smoky Eye Mascara and several of her lip colours—softer hues for day and some of the reds and shades of wine for night. I go to Christine Chin’s spa for facials. There’s nothing better than a good facial.

On a dull day, what is your go-to make-up?
Moisturizer

What kind of diet and exercise routine do you follow to keep your skin healthy?
I workout thrice a week with David Kirsch at his gym in Madison Square Club and try to eat clean and healthy. It helps me stay energetic, despite long working days or constant travelling. I love fish or chicken, grilled vegetables, sautéed spinach with feta cheese and a good juice. I love David Kirsch’s Super Charge Greens; it’s my post-workout drink.

What makes a woman beautiful?
Confidence. When I’m confident, I feel powerful; I feel confident when I have good make-up on and my hair is brushed.

What look makes you feel comfortable in your skin?
I love the smoky-eye look. It’s sexy, classic and it brings out the blue in my eyes. It’s a bold statement, so I don’t have to do much to the rest of my look. I love to wear it with simple clothes, bronze skin and nude lips.

What are your favourite make-up shades?
During summer, I like to do a my lips a bit brighter, like the Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Hot Pink. Last summer, I wore a coral lip stain almost everyday. I think coral is fresh and more special than traditional soft pink.
I’m a Florida girl and I love looking like I’ve been in the sun. You just look and feel healthier when you have a bit of colour; Bobbi’s Golden Light bronzer does that without looking unnatural.
Red lips are a classic and an easy way to make a festive statement. Whenever I wear a red lipstick, I try to keep the rest of my make-up simple. My tip for applying red lipstick is to line and fill-in your lips with a red pencil and then swipe the lipstick on top of it. The lip liner will help the lipstick stay put for longer.

What is the right age to start wearing make-up? Can you tell us about the first time you wore make-up?
I was probably 13 when I first wore make-up; my mom taught me how to apply it and I would coordinate my make-up with whatever outfit I was wearing—red lips to look English, or brown smoky-eyes to look Western. My sisters and I would always raid my mom’s make-up bag together. Now my mom says, 'You owe me from years of stealing my make-up'. So with this partnership with the brand, things have worked out in her favour, too.

What’s your best beauty tip?
I’m all about shortcuts. My new thing is to use a cream blush on my cheeks and then dab a bit on my lips. It adds colour to your face without competing. For eyelashes, I like taking the wand and twirling it from root to tip to curl them nicely.
