When life throws lemons at you, make yummy desserts with them is probably the funda behind some of these delicious lemon-based desserts. While mango rules during this season, lemons are another hot favourite during summer. If you enjoy a sweet, tarty dessert, this one is for you. We list some delicious lemon desserts on offer.
Chef Deepak Yadav at Courtyard by Marriott, Gurugram Downtown feels that usually the options that are available for lemon-based desserts are lemon tarts and lemon pies so in order to create something interesting he thought of serving Meyer Lemon Curd and Meringue. With the correct blend of natural flavours — the zest and juice of the plump lemons and the use of curd in the dish of Meringue helps maintaining the balance of sweetness.
Tea time parties would be incomplete without this absoulte favourite — a basic lemon cake. Chef Mohit Jaggi at Andrea’s Eatery is making the perfect accompaniment to your tea — Mini Lemon Tea Cake. A refreshing light dessert that’s perfect for any time of the day. Jaggi adds, “If you are looking out to cherish something with a tang and a touch of sugar, nothing can get any better than a mini lemon cake.”
And if you really want to go all out, there’s always Creme Brulee topped with lemon flavour. Served at Radisson Blu Hotel Dwarka, and created by chef Mahesh Sharma, who says, “It tastes like the essence of a thousand lemons and lemon grass, balanced by the richness of the cream and the crackle of the torched topping.”
At Radisson Blu Paschim Vihar, chef Sushil Kumar is serving a Raspberry and Lemon Pie. Raspberries and lemon make a perfect mix of sweet and tangy flavour in the tart. Kumar insists on trying the dessert just so that you give your meal a perfect end with a delicious dessert.
