James Franco
James has embraced his feminine side on more than one occasion. In 2010, the 127 Hours star was barely identifiable as he graced the cover of Candy magazine with his hair styled back, and with blue eyeshadow and bright red lipstick. When he co-hosted the 2011 Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway, he dressed up as Marilyn Monroe with a blonde wig and an off shoulder gown.

Neil Patrick Harris
The How I Met Your Mother star plays a transgender punk rocker in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch. At the 2014 Tony Awards, Neil took to stage in a denim skirt and top, platform boots, and a blonde wig to play his character from the popular musical while singing the song Sugar Daddy.

Andrew Garfield
The Spider-Man star took on a radically different avatar when he appeared in Arcade Fire's We Exist music video. Andrew was seen dancing in a white fitted lace dress wearing a blonde wig and heavy eye-makeup. The video, shows a young boy's journey of coming out to his father.

Kristen Stewart and Anne Hathaway
The two actresses have shed their inhibitions and taken on a male avatar in Jenny Lewis' recent music video Just One of the Guys. Kristen is barely recognisable in her fake mustache and tracksuit and sports a Justin Bieber style fringed hair do. Anne who's in a similar get up with a rat tail mush in the video shows off her breakdancing moves.

Zac Efron, Seth Rogen and Jimmy Fallon
In May this year, when viewers caught the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, they got to see Jimmy along with Zac and Seth play pretty young things. They appeared together in Ew, the fictional Teen Nick show and the trio was spotted in girly outfits, complete with necklaces, headbands, wigs and lipstick.

Jared Leto
In the Oscar-winning Dallas Buyers Club, Jared played a drag queen and lost close to 30 pounds for his role for which he had to wear dresses and high heels. The 30 Seconds To Mars rocker, also was seen wearing heavy make-up and various wigs for a shoot he did for the magazine Candy.

Dustin Hoffman
In 1982's Tootsie, Dustin played Michael Dorsey an actor who becomes a woman in order to bag a role in a soap opera. He sported high-necked dresses, big glasses and a curly hair wig for the role.
