These popular pairs have a history of on-again/off-again relationships, yet fans can’t help but root for them
In celeb coupledom, there are famous pairs whose coupling gets fans in a tizzy. Miley Cyrus- Liam Hemsworth, Zayn Malik-Gigi Hadid, Chloe Grace Moretz-Brooklyn Beckham are examples of some popular duos whose on-again/off-again relationship status keeps both the paparazzi and their legion of fans on their toes. And despite their history of breaking-up and getting back together, we can’t help but empathise with their situation as many of us have broken up only to go back to our ex at some point in time. Here’s looking at celeb couples who despite yo-yoing between wanting to be together and separating still have fans rooting for their relationship.
BROOKLYN BECKHAM AND CHLOË GRACE MORETZ;
Relationship status: Off-again
Actress and model Chloë Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham first got together in 2014, only to part ways the following year. They then reunited in 2016, defining their relationship and status quo. Things did not work out for the pair, who then called in quits in 2016, only to get back in 2017. The pair again called it quits this year. While Chloë has previously claimed they were meant to be, things have not worked out for the duo and they decided to go their separate ways.
LIAM HEMSWORTH AND MILEY CYRUS;
Relationship status: On-again
Singer Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth met in 2009 on the sets of The Last Song. Since then, there has been buzz about their on-off relationship status both in 2010 and 2011. They decided to put a ring on it in 2012, only to break-up in 2013. While many were shocked by the news at the time, they soon found their way back to each other in 2016, and got engaged. Again rumours of them breaking up did the rounds in 2018, but Liam decided to shut them down with a video of him and Miley, confirming they are very much together. They were also recently spotted having lunch together amid break-up rumours.
HAILEY BALDWIN AND JUSTIN BIEBER;
Relationship status: On-again
Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber started dating in 2015, but stopped dating in 2016 and remained friends. He then got back with Selena Gomez, only to break-up and get together with Baldwin in 2018. The pair is now engaged and very much in love, and fans can’t wait to see the pair have their happily-ever-after.
SELENA GOMEZ AND JUSTIN BIEBER;
Relationship status: Off-again
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber started out as friends but officially got together in March 2011. They broke-up in November 2012, and through 2013 and 2014 had an on-again/off-again relationship status. They started spending time again between 2015 and 2017, finally getting back in 2018. However, things soon fell apart between these two, and they called it quits. Selena has been focusing on herself since then, while Justin is now engaged to Hailey.
ZAYN MALIK AND GIGI HADID;
Relationship status: On-again
Model Gigi Hadid and former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik got into a relationship in 2015. However, things soon went south the following year, resulting in the pair parting ways. Since then the duo has been pretty consistently happy for over two years now, with only one minor breakup that thankfully only lasted a few weeks.
