Fitness isn’t just about having a great body or movie star six-pack abs, it’s about being healthy inside and out. As today’s college-going kids are definitely fitness conscious and enjoy working out, we got some of them to share their nutrition and workout regimen.

Harsh Rajpal from National College, Bandra, who lost almost 40 kgs in two-and-a-half years, shares his fitness story. He says, “Working out has now become a necessity for me. Seeing the transformation in myself physically and mentally is what keeps me going.” He also shared a few nutrition tips. “Drink more water and up your protein intake. Eat five small meals in a day. Incorporate green tea in your diet and eat more green veggies. Also, never skip meals,” says he.

    Cardio twice a week and weight training four days a week.

    Five to six days in a week.

    Fitbit iconic smart watch.
     
  • Who’s your fitness icon and why?
    John David Glaude because he is a fitness enthusiast and an international YouTuber.
     
  • Do you follow any diet?
    I follow a low carb, high protein and moderate fats diet.
     
  • Your favourite brand when it comes to gym wear?
    Nike.  

Yash Gupta, 19

  • How do you divide your workouts?
    Three days functional workout and three days strength workout.
     
  • How many times in a week do you work out?
    Six days in a week.
     
  • Any sneakers or gym gadgets on your wish list?
    Fitness band.
     
  • Who’s your fitness icon and why?
    Arnold Schwarzenegger because he is the finest man I have seen.
     
  • Do you follow any diet?
    No.
     
  • Your favourite brand when it comes to gym wear?
    Nike and Adidas.

Jatin Vaswani, 19

  • How do you divide your workouts?
    I start from the legs, back, arms, chest, abs and end at cardio.
     
  • How many times in a week do you work out?
    Four to five days in a week.
     
  • Any sneakers or gym gadgets on your wish list?
    Fitbit smart band.
     
  • Who’s your fitness icon and why?
    Mariano Di Vaio because he has been fit throughout his modelling career.
     
  • Do you follow any diet?
    I follow a muscle-gain diet.
     
  • Your favourite brand when it comes to gym wear?
    Under Armour, Adidas and Asics.

Karan Talreja, 18

  • How do you divide your workouts?
    I divide my workout according to my schedule.
     
  • How many times in a week do you work out?
    Five days in a week.
     
  • Any sneakers or gym gadgets on your wish list?
    Under Armour Charged Bandit sneakers.
     
  • Who’s your fitness icon and why?
    Smith Julian because he has pure lean muscles.

    I follow a muscle-gain diet.
