The trend of fuller and thicker brows has been turning heads as it’s being seen more and more on celebrities and fashion runways. The list of bushy brow muses include celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kiera Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Megan Fox and Brooke Shields.

Here is what you could do to grow back thin or over-plucked brows:

Pull a freeze on the tweezer: According to stylist Nikos Narkissos, hair grows in three cycles; you have to wait out that process before tweezing or trimming. To gauge your brows full potential, hide your tweezers for six weeks. “Leave your brows untouched for a while even though you might feel awkward about the unkempt look. This will help you get the shape you are looking for,” adds Nikos
Stimulate Growth: Rub a few drops of castor oil on the brows, then brush with a mascara wand.

This improves circulation and stimulates hair growth drastically. Thin or sparse eyebrows can often be the result of over-plucking or simply hereditary, Nikos suggests exfoliating the brows with a soft toothbrush which also stimulates growth.

Fake it: Says Clint Fernandes, Lakme make-up expert, “Fill in patchy areas with a powder or pencil one shade darker than your hair colour. For the illusion of a darker tone, add little mascara and then hide errant strands with a concealer.” For those with thin brows, Clint recommends to add a drop of water to the eyeshadow using a brush, mix it in and apply in gentle outward strokes. One can also use a brown kohl pencil and draw into thinning eye brows. Use a brush after that to blend out the kohl pencil as it could look a bit hard and strong.
