If you're at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on 27th March, don't be surprised if you see hordes of runners splattered with colour. The Color Run is a five-kilometre, un-timed race in which runners are doused with a different colour—yellow, orange, green, blue and pink—at every kilometre. So whether you're a casual walker, an Olympic champ or a parent running with your child, it doesn't matter if you run, walk, crawl, cartwheel or even dance your way to the finish line. There are only two rules—wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in colour.

Celebrating health, happiness, individuality and giving back to the community, the Color Run, Abu Dhabi will be a twilight event, this year. Color runners will gather at the starting line and be divided into approximately 1,000 person waves, with each wave leaving approximately every three to six minutes.

Founded in March 2011 and also known as the 'Happiest 5K', the fun continues at the finish line, where sparkly surprises await you. Grab your colour packet and have your friends and family join you at the 'Color Festival'. At the Finish Festival, every 15 minutes, there will be a countdown to a mass colour throw, where everyone will throw colour into the air at the same time, creating a spectacular sight.

So what are you waiting for?
