Adolf Hitler's personal copy of Mein Kampf fetches 19K pounds at auction

Adolf Hitler's personal copy of Mein Kampf which is an autobiographical manifesto by the Nazi leader, has been sold for 19, 000 pounds at an auction.

The 1932 version of the book fell short of the 62,000 pounds estimate, the Mirror reported.

Auctioneer Craig Gottlieb, who sold the item on the website HistoryHunter.com, revealed that it was the only copy which belonged to the Hitler and the book was far more important than mere signed copies.

Mein Kampf which translates to "My Struggle" was written by the Nazi leader to outline his future plans for Germany and was published in 1925.
