For seven years, TATA Litlive has been the ground zero for Mumbai's annual courtship with intellect and imagination. And while the highlight has been an analytical appreciation of literature, the eighth edition also strives to engage those not typically book-bound, but fraught with the contemplative curiosity that gives authors their voice. Here are eight events you can enjoy, even if you don't count yourself to be a bibliophile.
Curry VS cricket. How does that sound for a face-off? The opening ceremony at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will be followed by senior Oxford research scholar Peter Frankopan and Shashi Tharoor locking horns over who got the better deal in this cultural exchange.

You needn't necessarily have read James Joyce's works to enjoy The Dubliner's Dilemma, a play about a publisher who rejected the seminal figure in modernist writing.

Are you a science nerd with a dirty mind? Then there's a fair chance that The Immaculate Conception is your jam at this year's LitLive. Drawing Booker Prize judge AC Grayling and Aarathi Prasad, science advisor to the British Council, into an explosive conversation, the event will be chaired by journalist Kalpana Sharma.
