ShareAfter a heavy workout routine and now sitting back with a relaxed mind, all I needed was just (don't get me wrong here) a simple single glass of protein shake. The day couldn't get better as the only thing I desired was some time for myself.
In between all this, strangely the only thought which was revolving in my mind were my friend's earlier spoken words: "I wish I could get another chance."
Now, talking about getting chances. We say it like it's easy, but get real, it's not. We all know everything does not work in our favour. Then, why is it we fail to understand the person's value when he/she is with us? Why do we take them for granted that they will be with us no matter what wrong we do? Let me tell you, in today's world no one has the privilege to go through outbursts of temper.
You hear me say the words -- "You messed up, so why would you deserve another chance?" But wait, don't lose heart. I don't mean you will never get a chance. You just need to be worthy of it; it's just a matter of luck. The least you could do is make up for your wrong, stand up for it and take responsibility for a change. Follow these rules and cupid might be in your favour.
To begin, don't repeatedly ask your partner to come back. Each time you do that, you are trying to push him or her far, far away from you. Secondly, don't rally the troops. Meaning, don't go around talking to your partner's friends, family and co-workers. That's a form of emotional manipulation based on guilt and shame. Third, don't press that dial button. A little space from your partner could be what's needed.
Important: Don't use jealousy to get him back; realise how it would feel if he does that to you. Also get it straight -- never make your best friend as your spokesperson. You may think it could work, but trust me it couldn't get more desperate. When you learn the art of loving logically, you won't need any chances.
