Never talk about your past
Talking about your ex will just show you carry emotional baggage and haven't moved on. Also, how you treat your ex is a clue to how you behave in a relationship, so less is more when it comes to talking about the past. Give it a total miss.

Never brag
It’s a known fact that if you want to get someone’s attention you need to ask them a lot of questions about themselves. This works every time. Even if we know this fact, we tend to babble on about our lives endlessly, especially when anxious. Avoid doing that because you might be termed a big bore.

Never fib, no white lies too
First dates are all about getting to know the honest truth about each other. If you're bankrupt, unemployed or living with a roommate of the opposite sex, by all means be upfront and talk about it. If you don’t say it now, people find out anyway. One lie leads to another and there is no end to it. A meeting based on lies will go nowhere.

Never come on too strongly
Unless you are only looking for a one night stand or casual sex, do not attempt any sexual advances.You can try to get physically intimate only once you are comfortable with the date.Always maintain a distance unless you are absolutely sure of the other person’s feelings for you. If you act too hasty, it might repel him or her.
