Rainbow Guru answers: If he is gay, why are girls hanging out

I have a friend who is a gay. He is very nice and all, but I have a strong feeling he is not gay. He is always with girls. If he is gay, why are girls hanging around him and not with other boys in the group like me and my normal friends? Please give a solution for this.

First of all, whether he is gay or not, why are you so worried about his sexual orientation? You said he’s a nice guy, so be nice when he’s being nice to you. Simple.

Secondly, how does one determine another’s orientation by the gender of his friends? That’s an absolutely absurd thing to say. I have a lot of female friends, so according to your theory, I’m straight? Or are they all lesbians? And even if that is indeed the case, how is it causing a hindrance to you? Maybe you should work on your interpersonal skills and then you never know, people (men or women) would like hanging out with you.

Lastly, what do you mean by you and your “normal” friends? Do you mean a person belonging to the LGBT community is NOT normal? I think it’s absolutely abnormal for you to think that way. He might be much more normal than you around girls, which is why they like chilling with him. Please broaden your thoughts. He is normal, gay or not.

What is not normal is this question and the blatant insensitivity it carries. Maybe once you work on being less of a passive aggressive d!*k, girls will automatically want to befriend you. Till then, you will have to sit and play aao behen chugli karein with your “normal” friends.
