Red Carpet Report Card: Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone rock it this week; Daisy Shah, Evelyn Sharma fail

Sonam Kapoor knows the power of a great pantsuit and she wears it like an armour. This week too she slays it in this white Antonio Berardi suit, wearing her hair back in a knot and accenting it smokey eyes. Perhaps she should anchor a style TV series on the concept of Power Dressing. Way to go!

Haunted honeymoon
Evelyn Sharma looks like she's been hit by lightening and thunder on an enchanted night. The gown is incredibly uninspiring to begin with and makes her look ultra pale and washed out. If it wasn't for her pink lip, we would have mistook her silhouette as an apparition.

Clown alert
Daisy Shah's overworked ensemble needed a lot of editing or is that an understatement? Perhaps this positively ghastly look should be on the cover of the book titled, "How not to appear in public ever!" We don't know who to feel sorry for - this sordid joke of this outfit or the actress who had the guts to don the monstrosity.

Ditch the bag
As much as we like Tanishaa Mukerji's pick of this vibrant yellow top and denim skirt, we think the pick of that handbag sort of dented the look. She should have opted for a bag in a neutral tone - black, grey or taupe.

Too petite for gowns
Alia Bhatt is young and spunky and in a very small time entrenched her position as a veritable fashionista. However, what we fail to understand is why her stylist keeps giving her these voluminous gowns which shroud her tiny frame. Just because the tag reads Prabal Gurung, doesn't mean it's going to look good on you. Time to bring in more easy breezy separates and mini dresses which suit her girl-next-door appeal.

Anti-fit nailed
Deepika Padukone gets a thumbs up this week in this oversized shirt tunic which she wore with boots and a black bag. Centre-parted hair and a red lip add to the perfect finish.
