Exquisite power of inner engineering

Before going to sleep every night and after waking up in the morning to start my day, my mind and soul well up with myriad of emotions, apprehensions, and contemplations. The steady wheel of complicated presumptions and endless possibilities unfold, giving me lumps in my throat, which are enough to choke me. So, I have made it as a customary practice, that before I go to sleep and after I wake up, I will be one with myself. I chant, I pray to myself, incessantly rendering in my soul- strength, hope, and dexterity to rise, higher, and stronger.

This might sound mystical and spiritual to most of you. It might sound as if I chant my prayers to a divine entity who is sitting above and watching us, or to some supernatural power through a deity or idol.

In my reality, it is none of these. I, pray to myself. I chant my repetitive goodwill to my own soul, my subconscious mind, my spirit and to my body. GOD is within me. GOD is within all of us. It is a solemn spiritual connection, finely tied with the subtle threads of positive energy, firm disposition, clean mind and pure heart.

‘God’, ‘spirituality’, ‘religion’, ‘deities’ — these are some of the common expressions, which we have heard since childhood, which explains the supreme belief and ideologies on praying, devotion to idols, deities. The tenets of this supernatural trust and blind acceptance of religion, customs, rituals and in holy idolisation have long been established. This has made many people oblivious to the true concept of the same.

God’s tryst is with humanity. Let’s become more humane! Let us train ourselves to see the good in every situation. Let us express our innermost gratitude to the people we love. Let us believe in our skills and aptitude so much, that no external power can affect or damage our passion. By achieving these, is when we will be initiating a divine intervention with God.

If we hastily try to search for reassurance, peace and love, we will only end up finding it in our own resilience, heart and soul. All of us are only human; we carry oceans of love and emotions in our eyes. Beneath our skin, we possess immense power in the soul. There resides a universe within us. We must wear our strengths as well as our scars with equal magic and pride.

Taste your spirit and soul, accept it, embrace it, love yourself the way you are; and if you don’t like something about you, then embark on a quest for changing those details or adding newer jewels over your personality and consciousness. Discover yourself and re-discover your passion. Muster the courage and fight against the evil that pull you down, to become the person that you finally love the most.

This is what I chant to myself repeatedly, “One breath, one strength, one peace at a time. I will emerge, rising to conquer the sky, touching the stars. Flying even higher, I will rise, I will shine, I will win.’’
