Designer diary: Highs, lows and everything in between

I have been high (altitude-wise) all of last week in Ladakh with the boss (Salman Khan) and the elegant Zhu Zhu from China, shooting for Tubelight produced by Boss and directed by Kabir Khan.

On landing, my oxygen levels went for a toss, and breathing was never the same again. But all was forgiven when I passed the breathtaking Indus. I wondered... what has Hrithik done to the Indus Valley Civilisation? I don't blame him, but I can't get myself to watch it. I guess one would have to blame Ashutosh for that. The tacky trailer itself clashed with my childhood memories of the place -- courtesy, history textbooks -- I had built up in my head.

Also, who wore clothes like that in that era? Tauba, tauba!

But that aside, our shoot was tough and my poor assistant Tanka felt sick and I had to fly her back to Mumbai. We did get some great shots and I packed up to style for another movie, Deepak Tijori's Tom, Dick & Harry, starring (my fav) Sharman Joshi, Jimmy Sheirgill and Aftaab Shivdasani and a bevy of beauties like Sanna, Pooja and Nazia. It's a story of deaf, mute and blind guys going all crazy. Also, it has a sexy new villain in the six-pack Dev Gill.

Despite the rush, I managed to catch Rustom and liked Akshay (he looks too damn good in uniform). And even though I knew the end, I had a super time watching the courtroom drama unfold right before my eyes.
