Designer diary: Baby Shower Khan Style

It was Valentine's Day, and since I don't have one, I decided to spend it at Arpita Khan's baby shower (another word for godh bharai). The venue is dressed up beautifully little teddy bears of flowers, beautiful chandeliers, huge heart shaped flower wreath, and many other beautiful white things. But in a matter of minutes wind plays truant in the lunch area blowing everything away -- Amrita Arora's dress, Shaina N C's sari, and poor Kehkashan's son's jacket goes flying into the butter chicken. So no one attempts to go for lunch for the simple fear of hair extensions flying away.

Guests included Mini and Kabir Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani, Ritesh-Genelia, Ali Abbas and the lovely Wardha and Sajid Nadiadwala. The girl of the moment Arpita stood out in Red as did her stunning sister Alvira in a beautiful white ensemble. Even their parents Salma aunty and Salim uncle were dressed to the hilt. But the highlight was the boss Salman Khan who let his guard down and danced the day away.

Shilpa Shetty, who has a body to die for, wore a horizontal striped fitted dress. So, I guess the wind was only a banana the ladies present perhaps saw Shilpa's svelte figure and decided to stay away from the food.
