Ashwin Sanghi, author of several Indian history-based thrillers, emphasised that current discoveries of global quantum physicists was experienced by Indian sages centuries ago.

Speaking at the session - Keepers of the Kalachakra, which is also the title of his latest book, Sanghi stated that sages discovered the concepts of quantum physics through experiential learning.

“Today, scientists use laboratories and experiments, but in the old days, experiential learning, and a deep perceptive ability, allowed many of our sages to experience it. One of those things was oneness. The fact that ultimately, what you see are not individuals, people, things, but interconnected web of relationships,” Sanghi said.

TIME A WHEEL

Explaining the reason behind time being regarded as a wheel, Sanghi stated that it’s because history always repeats itself.

“Modern man thinks of time as linearity, that we move from the past into the present, and into the future, along a straight line, the ancients followed the Yugs, even Buddhists took time as the Moon changed. But the wheel of the time tells us that history repeats itself, because it’s a circle. What has already been spoken about, in mythology and history, are things that are going to happen again. We are seeing is all over the world,” Sanghi explained.

THRILLER WORKS

On being asked the reason why a thriller book always works, he promptly said that it’s because, over the period of time, the attention spans are dramatically decreasing. “To keep someone hooked has become more and more painful,” he said.
