Yunus Khan, Sachin Pilot slug it out

It is battle royale the Bollywood style between a minister and a party chief. Very much like the famous dialogue by actor Rajkumar from the blockbuster Saudagar where he says, “Hum tumhe marenge, jaroor marenge, lekin wakt bhi hamara hoga, bandook bhi hamari hogi, aur goli bhi hamari hogi”, transport and PWD minister Yunus Khan has challenged PCC chief Sachin Pilot saying, “Mein jawab dunga, figures ke sath jawab dunga, jagah bhi tumhari hogi aur time bhi tumhra hoga” (I will answer every question of yours; with data and figures. The war of words started when Pilot rubbished the claims made by Khan about the achievements of his department.

Pilot had issued a press release and questioned the claims made by Yunus Khan. He had accused Khan of making false claims and selling off land belonging to the transport department. Khan called an urgent press meet at his office in the Secretariat on Monday and thew an open challenge at the PCC chief. He said he was ready to debate with Pilot on the issue. “Even if the PCC calls me to Indira Gandhi Bhawan, the PCC headquarters, I will willingly go there too for the debate.”

His tirade knew no end. “I will provide figures of achievements by the BJP governments from 2003 to 2008 and from 2013 to 2017. These figures also will also expose the reality of the 10-year period of Gehlot’s government,” said Khan.
