Work on fast track to electrify railway route between Alwar and Jaipur

A few days back itself, the 78 kilometre route between Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Rewari junction section has been completed.

After electrification of Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Alwar route, now the work is going on at a fast pace to electrify the remaining railway route between Alwar and Jaipur.

According to Railway sources, in coming few months CRS (Commissioner of Rail Safety) inspection is being planned on the remaining track and for that the work is being done at a rapid pace so that it is completed for inspection on time.

It is also been planned to start goods train on this newly completed electrified route of Alwar and Delhi Sarai Rohilla, said sources.

A few days back itself, the 78 kilometre route between Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Rewari junction section has been completed. Railway security commissioner Shailesh Kumar Pathak had also inspected this track said sources.
Before this, the work of electrification of tracks has been completed between Rewari station till Alwar.

The division of Railways which has been given this job of electrification of this track has now stepped up its work and hopes to complete it in coming months.

As such the work of electrification is simultaneously going on between Jaipur Ajmer and Udaipur routes too. 

Sources informed that efforts are being made to complete the work by end of the current financial year.

Meanwhile, another electrification of route is going on between Jaipur and Swai Madhopur. Once the Sawai Madhopur-Jaipur route becomes electrified, the travel between Jaipur and these cities like Mumbai, Indore etc will take less time. The railway engineers are working to convert this route which sees only diesel-driven trains, in a distance of about 131 kilometer, into electrical route on the lines of other states.

The work has started becoming visible and the electricity poles are being put between Durgapura station and it can be seen stretching towards Sanganer.

NWR has planned to put about 3,100 electricity poles and the work is going on to put them near the tracks at a total distance of 131 kilometer route. Infact, in last three years between 2015-16 and 2017-18, NWR has electrified 1,180 kilometer route out of total electrification of tracks of 7830 route kilometer across the country.
