Sanganer firing: Main suspect still at large
A few days back unidentified men opened fire at a house in Sanganer area resulted in creating panic and terror.
The police initiated an investigation and arrested a twenty-one-year-old youth while also detained a minor in the matter. “A special team had been constituted to solve the matter. Intel was being collected and on the information of special team, two youths were nabbed from near India gate area on Tonk road on a black bike. One of them was identified as Deepak alias Jeetu (21) while another was a minor boy. They were frisked which revealed a revolver and a live round from Deepak’s possession. The minor was also checked and shocking a country made pistol with a live round was recovered,” informed Kunwar Rashtradeep, DCP East.
The duo was questioned by the police about the weapons and they revealed shocking facts. “On 28th February, Deepak, the minor and one Kamal Singh Jadaun had come to the house of a transgender - Preeti Langdi - living in Sanganer area and opened fire. This was done after Kamal and Preeti had a verbal spat over some issue. The trio had come to murder Preeti and opened fire. However, the bullet did not hit Preeti. They wanted to scare Preeti and extort money in this way. Kamal alias kaka is absconding and is being searched.” the DCP informed.
Three nabbed in jewellery loot case
The Bassi police cracked a case related to break-in and theft from a jewellery shop and arrested three youths. The incident occurred in January this year wherein five-kilogram silver worth three lakh rupees and one lakh rupees cash were stolen.
“There had been increasing in thefts and break-ins in Kanota, Jamwa Ramgarh and Bassi areas and thus teams were formed to take action and crack the cases. Intel was being collected from informers also and on the basis of information from source on 13th March, three youths - identified as Tinku Pahadiya (19), Bajrang Lal Balai (20) and Arjun Meena (19) - all natives of Badwa village under Bassi Police Station area - were rounded and brought to police station for questioning,” said Kunwar rashtradeep, DCP East.
The official further added, “During questioning, they confessed to committing the theft.
The trio was produced before the court and a remand has been received. Bajrang Lal has confessed to committing a dozen transformer thefts in Bassi, kanota and Jamwa Ramgarh area in collusion with various criminal gangs. Further action is being taken.”

Auto lifters, snatchers’ gang busted
Busting a gang involved in chain snatchings and vehicle liftings, the Jawahar Circle police arrested three youths - each aged twenty-one years - and recovered eleven bikes while also cracking eighteen incidents each of chain snatchings and vehicle liftings.
“A special team started collecting information. Keeping vigilance in the area, three youths on a bike were stopped near Nandpuri bypass. The bike was checked and it came to light that the bike had been stolen and a case was registered in this regard in Jawahar Circle police station in November 2017.
The trio were questioned strictly and they confessed to committing chain snatchings near World Trade park area as well along with several other crimes ” the DCP said, further adding, “They admitted that they have conducted seventeen chain snatchings in different areas of city.
They even confessed to lifting seventeen bikes from various areas out of which eleven were recovered. The trio were identified as Banshi alias Vijay Pratap (21), Waqil alias Bachcha (21) and Bhola alias Manish (21) - all natives of Rajakhera.”
“It has come to light that two cases of gang rape have been registered against the trio in Rajakhera police station of Dholpur.
Moreover, two cases of loot have been registered against Bansi Thakur - one each in Rajakhera and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. He is out on bail since past six months.” the DCP informed.
