Vishvendra protests police action against youths involved in Jat stir

The agitation by Jats may have been called off, but in its aftermath police have allegedly started booking youths involved in the agitation on charges of blocking rail and road traffic and for damaging government property.

Meanwhile, the police action has created unrest among Jats of Dholpur and Bharatpur to an extent that they have warned the government that they would not tolerate it and may not take time to launch agitation again.

In order to protest against police action, Jat leader and Deeg MLA Vishvendra Singh along with Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti convener Nem Singh Fauzdar reached Mathura Gate police station on Wednesday morning and told police to file cases against them. The police were in a fix and could not decide whether to file a case against Singh and Fauzdar or not.

While talking to media at the police station, Singh said that as per the agreement with state government no cases should have been registered and he accused that cases were being registered under the influence of BJP leaders.

Mathura Gate police station in charge Virendra Sharma told DNA that on MLA Vishvendra Singh’s insistence for registering a case against him, a written complaint would be sent to the district superintendent of police for investigation and further orders. Sharma also said that further action would be taken only after the orders by the SP.
