The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah on Saturday sounded the poll bugle by announcing that chief minister Vasundhara Raje will undertake the yatra of the state.

Shah while addressing the party MPs and MLAs at Totuka Bhawan said that during the yatra, Raje will be going to all the districts and urged the party workers and leaders to make it a grand success.

Though no official date of the yatra was declared on Saturday, it’s being said that the yatra will begin on August 5. However, in many quarters August 1 is also being said to be the date of start of the yatra called “Suraj Gaurav Yatra”.

Earlier, Raje had taken out yatra in 2013 named as “Suraj Sankalp” yatra.

A day earlier, speaking to media, Avinash Rai Khanna who is state in-charge of media, had said that last time the yatra was taken out to uproot Congress government, this time it is to bring back the party into power.

The party has planned the yatras both in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In fact, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has already started “Jan Ashirwad yatra” few days ago.

The party in Rajasthan was waiting for the state executive meeting in which the roadmap of the yatra is said to be discussed and now soon the announcement of the date will be made, said the sources.

With speculation of yatra being started from Charbhuja Ji Temple in Rajsamand, the initial ground level preparations have been started by district administration in Rajsamand, informed the sources.

With everything set in place, decks are now clear for CM Vasundhara Raje to take out the state-wide yatra.
